Annual Summit of the National Women’s Business Council
This group advises President Obama, Congress and the Small Business Administration on important small business issues. Wendy Rosen and Jean Thompson of The Rosen Group were invited by the Senior Economist at the S.B.A. to attend the Summit on
Thursday, February 26. At the close of the Summit, Wendy was asked to submit a plan for stabilization and growth for the American Craft marketplace. This is a critical time for our marketplace as the ideas expressed in this plan are likely to be used as a blueprint for writing guidelines for the recent stimulus package.  Do we have a bailout for American Crafts? The answer is... maybe!  

National Arts Advocacy Day, March 30-31
Please come with us to Washington, D.C., where you’ll join a group of other artists from across the nation who will meet with Congressional Representatives and staffers regarding the importance of funding the arts and small business. Sponsored by Americans for the Arts, this annual event reminds Congress that we vote and we care.  We’ve printed up some great Fred Babb “Dear Mr. President” posters as gifts for you to leave in Congressional offices.
