Educate
Where do the presidential primary candidates stand on issues affecting artists, small business and arts education?
ArtsVote2008 is a national initiative of the Americans for the Arts Action Fund. Its mission is "to secure bold, new policy proposals in support of the arts and arts education in America from candidates during the 2008 presidential campaign."
ArtsVote2008 maintains a useful Web site that is tracking the candidates' policy statements on the arts. Also available on this web site: data about the economic impact of the arts; a Congressional report card on arts issues; and facts and figures about arts employment.
More information about the candidates and their positions on economic policy can be found at Public Citizen, and Global Trade Watch.
